VIENNA (AP) — Police say that a Turkish community center in Vienna has been destroyed by firebombs. Nobody was injured in the attack but Murat Barlan, who runs the center, reports extensive damage. He told the Kurier newspaper that 4,000 books have been destroyed and furnishings are beyond repair. The attack occurred before daylight Friday, with nearby residents reporting an explosion. Barlan says the attackers broke windows and then threw firebombs inside. Police are confirming the attack but refused to offer details, saying it could impede their investigation.
