The Nadi Tropical Cyclone Centre in Fiji says it is likely a tropical depression in the South Pacific will develop into a cyclone. Named Freda, the storm is expected to become a category two cyclone within 72 hours, heading toward the Solomon Islands before moving into the Tasman Sea. Authorities have placed most of the major islands under a cyclone warning watch. Freda is currently 400km east of Honiara.
