LJUBLJANA, Slovenia (AP) — Police say two Polish citizens have died in a rafting accident in Slovenia.

They say the accident happened Wednesday when a group of seven Poles made their way down the Ucja river in western Slovenia and one of them, a woman, slipped and fell into the water.

Two men came to her rescue only to become trapped in a whirlpool. The woman and one of the men drowned, while the other man was pulled from the water being treated in a hospital.

The names of the victims were not released.
