G4S - East Timor - National police assume security responsibility

United Nations police have delegated security responsibilities to the National Police of Timor-Leste (PNTL). United Nations forces have led security responsibilities in the country since 2006. The UN will maintain 1,280 personnel in-country to assist with security responsibilities and aims to fully withdraw following elections on 2012.
