The government has sent emergency help to the north of the country following heavy rains and flooding. The worst affected area is The Autonomous Region of the North Atlantic, with help only able to reach the affected areas via airplane due to blocked roads. The Civil Defense Chief of the army said supplies and assistance has been sent to families cut off by the weather. Despite the rains lessening over the past two days flooding remains severe in the area.
