Gabon - Investigation finds 3,000 fake government employees

An anti-corruption audit of government payrolls found 3,000 fake civil servants receiving monthly government salaries despite holding no official positions. Anti-corruption authorities have indicated that suspects will face prosecution. The total civil service employs 70,000 workers in total and the government has previously estimated that there are as many as 10,000 fraudulent employees.
