Seven Corners Assist

Help that follows you where you go. When something goes wrong abroad — a medical emergency, a hospital admission, an evacuation — Assist coordinates everything so you don't have to navigate it alone.

Urgent Medical Assistance

What to do if you need medical care abroad

Your response depends on the situation. Here's exactly what to do.

Life-threatening emergencies
1

Call local emergency services immediately and seek care as directed.

2

Contact Seven Corners Assist as soon as possible. We will review for a Guarantee of Payment to pay the facility directly and evaluate the need for emergency medical evacuation if necessary.

3

Ensure your provider knows about any pre-certification requirements in your plan. Coverage can be reduced if expenses are not pre-certified.

Non-urgent situations
In the US

Check your ID card for a network. If you have one, search for an in-network provider. If not, you can visit any provider.

Outside the US

You have access to our international provider directory. Schedule an appointment and confirm payment preference. Some providers bill Seven Corners directly; others require payment at time of service.

Contact Assist in these situations, regardless of location:
Non-emergency hospitalization is recommended
Within 48 hours after an emergency admission
Before any recommended surgery, including outpatient

Important to know

Pre-certification

Some plans require pre-certification for certain expenses. Check your plan document and make sure your provider knows to contact Assist before treatment. If expenses are not pre-certified when required, coverage for those expenses may be reduced.

Guarantee of Payment

A Guarantee of Payment authorizes your medical provider to treat you up to a stated dollar amount for specified conditions. It includes details of your plan — medical maximum, deductible, and copay — so the facility can bill Seven Corners directly rather than requiring you to pay out of pocket.
