Australia has issued a warning for citizens travelling to Nairobi following a warning of a possible terrorist attack against crowded places. The warning comes in the wake of an alert by the US embassy about threats to locations frequented by Westerners in Mombasa. The alert does not name a specific group, but al-Shabaab has previously carried out attacks. The government has yet to comment, but has criticised such alerts in the past.
